About the Opportunity

The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a part-time Business Licence Clerk, based in Lake Country, BC. The position will work 21 hours per week schedule Monday to Friday.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Building and Bylaw, you will be responsible for r providing business licensing information, guidance on short term vacation rentals, setting up of appointments and inspections, providing clerical and research services for the department including, tracking files, and handling the records management and mail systems in a knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient manner for both internal staff and external customers.

 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Providing business licensing administrative services;
  • Scheduling appointments and inspections for applicants;
  • Receiving and processing applications 
  • Responding to correspondence pertaining to business licensing

 

More About You

To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of one year toward a college diploma in office administration, business administration, public administration, or a related field. Additionally, two year experience in a municipal setting.

 

As our ideal candidate, you have the skills and ability to tactfully deal with internal and public inquiries with courtesy when explaining or exchanging information. In addition you have sound organization and time management skills.
