About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Operator based in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Parks and Facilities Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that District facilities are safe, clean, and fit for operations. Responsibilities include performing scheduled and preventative building and equipment maintenance, repairs to buildings and fixtures, general cleaning of the municipal buildings and grounds as well as setting up for functions at all of its facilities.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited performing a variety of building repairs and maintenance tasks, such as, painting, general carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs.
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of five years’ work experience in facilities and completed technical or vocational training in one of; HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry.
As our ideal candidate, you have strong knowledge of facilities maintenance and operation, including janitorial practices, standards, methods, tools & equipment.
Above all, we value a collaborative attitude, fostering positive working relationships with staff and tactfully conveying information and policies to the public.
