About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a casual IT Client Support Analyst based in Lake Country, BC. Reporting to the Information Manager, the IT Support Analyst will be responsible for providing IT related support on behalf of the organization. The Support Analyst provides one-on-one, telephone and email support to users; desktop hardware; software, and related equipment installations, upgrades, moves, changes, and troubleshooting. The Support Analyst acts as a point of contact for staff by answering questions, demonstrating, and documenting work methods and procedures. The position works in a fast-paced environment and requires a high degree of technical problem solving.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited:
• Provide in-person technology support at council meetings and support the onsite live stream production technology used for council and staff meetings including:
• Operation of video switching software during Council meetings;
• Assisting with technical AV and virtual meeting software, and troubleshooting during Council meetings;
• Provides light technical support including; repairing and setting up computer hardware and software such as; mice/keyboard changes, phone installs, toner changes, software installations, workstation moves, laptop installs and updates, system and profile setups;
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of one-year related work experience in IT or a related field, with preference given to municipal experience. Additionally, minimum of a two-year certificated program, or equivalent education towards a credential from an accredited post-secondary institution. A valid BC Driver’s License and clear Driver’s Abstract is also required.
As our ideal candidate, you will have the ability to respond to service requests with prompt, tact and accuracy while being able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will have sound knowledge of operating systems and livestream audio/video production related equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot technology issues in a high pressure, live and public environment.
