About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Public Works Construction Superintendent based in Lake Country, BC.
Reporting to the Public Works Manager, the Public Works Construction Superintendent works closely with the Infrastructure & Development Engineering management team to oversee the day-to-day operations of public works construction projects, including paving, road maintenance, and water and sewer capital improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Manage operational budgets and departmental priorities;
- Develop procedures and policies for effective and continuous improvement of public works construction operations;
- Direct and coordinate with staff, and external agencies to effectively carry out construction projects;
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of two years Civil Engineering post-secondary education. Additionally, a Public Works Construction Superintendent is required to have a minimum of eight years work experience in civil construction with three years of supervisory experience. A valid British Columbia driver’s license is required with Class 3 preferred.
