About the Opportunity
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a OHS Student based in Lake Country, BC.
The student will support the organization in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) services.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creating and maintaining OHS program documents, developing online training resources, and assisting with the implementation and optimization of safety-related software programs;
- Contributing to project work aimed at improving health and safety processes across the organization
More About You
To qualify for this role, you should be enroll in a OHS program or other related discipline with plans to return in the fall of 2026. A valid Driver’s License is required.
As our ideal candidate, you have excellent communication skills. You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment and thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment. You possess a strong technical aptitude with proven experience in computer-based tasks and a wide range of digital tools, platforms, and software applications. Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is considered an asset, as these platforms are integral to managing training, documentation, and compliance activities.

About the Benefits
- You will receive a competitive salary of $23.20 (2026 rates) per hour plus 17.4% in-lieu of all benefits.
- You may be eligible for a bursary of up to $1000 at the completion of the term.
