About the Opportunity

The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Support Analyst based in Lake Country, BC.   Reporting to the Information Technology Manager, the Support Analyst will be responsible for providing IT related support to the organization. This position is 40 hours per week. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to and investigate help desk tickets, including infrastructure server and storage hardware, software and Linux Server and Microsoft Windows Server operating system problems;
  • Provide phone, computer and AV support for District of Lake Country, Council Meetings and RCMP Detachment including the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint;
  • Assist in the evaluation, installation and configuration of software and hardware;
  • Perform system maintenance, back up and recovery operations;
  • Maintain inventory and system and infrastructure documentation including security policies, procedures, incident and response plans;
  • And other duties as required.

More About You

To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of three years’ work experience in IT or a related field with preference given to municipal experience. Additionally, the Support Analyst is required to have a minimum of a two year certificate program or greater in computer technology or a related discipline.  A valid BC Drivers License is required including a clear Driver's Abstract, and current or the ability to obtain and maintain RCMP security clearance is required.
