About the Opportunity

The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Police Services Watch Clerk based in Lake Country, BC.   Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services the Police Services Watch Clerk will be responsible for providing moderately complex administrative and clerical support and performing a variety of functions in support of the RCMP operations, services, programs and activities. This position is 35 hours per week with the potential to increase to 42 hours per week which may include day or night shifts on weekdays, weekends and/or statutory holidays. 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing administrative duties for a General Duty Watch;
  • Receive information from victims and witnesses;
  • Perform transcription using PRIME;
  • Process Police Identification Checks and civilian fingerprints;
  • Coordinate fleet management;
  • Other duties as required.

 

More About You

To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of three years’ work experience in an administrative position, preferably in an RCMP Detachment. Additionally, a Watch Clerk is required to have a minimum of 1 year of post secondary education in Business Administration, Police Enforcement or a related field.  A valid BC Drivers License is preferred, and current RCMP security clearance is required. Above all, we value a collaborative attitude, exceptional communication skills, and fostering positive working relationships with staff.
